Mr. Leonard Tsuma Ruwa is an experienced cooperative leader and education professional with over 20 years of teaching and governance experience. He serves as Board Secretary of Tabasamu SACCO Society Ltd and has been a member of the SCK Board since 2015.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Mount Kenya University, a Diploma in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE), and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education. He has extensive training in cooperative leadership, governance, and finance for non-finance directors, with strengths in:

• Board administration and governance compliance
• Financial oversight and audit support
• Strategic documentation and institutional accountability
• Cooperative leadership and reform implementation

Mr. Ruwa strengthens SCK’s governance architecture through disciplined board processes, audit oversight, and accountability, supporting prudent financial stewardship and member-focused service delivery.
